In 2000, the State of New York purchased a conservation easement on 214 acres located in the Town of Fine. Conservation easement terms limit future development, require sustainable forestry practices, and provide specific public recreation opportunities.

The Sucker Lake Easement is located in the Town of Fine in St. Lawrence County. The easement can be accessed from Sucker Lake Road from the hamlet of oswegatchie.

While the land is open for public use, please note the special easement rules.

Non-motorized public use is permitted throughout the property, including hiking, biking, cross country skiing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, trapping, canoeing and other non-motorized water travel.

No public snowmobile or ATV use is currently permitted.

Please adhere to signage noting areas closed to the public for forest management purposes.
