While Massawepie and the Horseshoe Lake Wild Forest can be accessed via their own relative locations, they can also be reached by foot from the

"Cranberry Lake 50".

 

 

This access trail is located from just east of "Dog Pond". The trail will access a trail that connects the Horseshoe Lake Wild Forest to the Massawepie Boy Scout Reservation. It is roughly 3.5 miles in length and is of various conditions. Mainly the trail is an old woods road and easy to follow. This gives a slight change to someone doing the "Cranberry 50" who wishes to lengthen their outing.
