Cultural Arts Committee
The Arts Committee is a subcommittee of the Clifton-Fine Economic Development Corporation. As our community is at least an hour away from virtually anything artistic, we help to build and sustain a stronger more integrated community, by providing opportunities for people to come together to enjoy live music, dance, visual arts, and other artistic and cultural activities. Our thirteen years of managing the Summer Arts Series has seen remarkable growth in interest and pparticipation in these events and activities

Accomplishments:
Concerts and performances are offered during the summer when there is an increase in the seasonal population. Six to eight music and theater events have been offered during the summer. The concerts have shown to be a bridge brinnging together the permanent residents and seasonal residents.
Volunteering/Donations:
All involved are volunteers and we are actively seeing others who would like to join in. Our concert series cannot operate without donations. We do apply for state grants through the Decentralization Program of NYS Council of the Arts. In 2014 we also received a grant from the Northern New York Community Trust and have an active fund-raising in operation to encourage donations from members of all parts of the C-F Community. All the funding goes through the CFEDC which is a non-profit organization.
Goals for the Future:
We would like to develop more activities that can be offered during the rest of the year, to benefit the full-time residents.
