"Where wilderness meets water"
Adirondack Exhibit Center S.O.S. Committee
Events and exhibits at the Adirondack Exhibit Center are planned and coordinated by a group of concerned citizens trying to save the old school building in the most economical and productive way possible with the sole purpose of enriching our community.
Some of the recent accomplishments include: Hosting art from Clifton-Fine High School, Offered a writers workshop, Presentation on the history of the Newton Falls paper mill, Installed brand new bathrooms, Repainting of the building, along with a new heating system thanks to the NNYCF and Cliftion-Fine Community Fund grant so we may now utilize the facility year round.
Everyone is a volunteer; we welcome any help we can get. Donations are used for: repair & upkeep of the building; re-donate to community efforts; sponsor of the C-F yearbook; and provide refreshments for events at the exhibit center.
Goals/Plans for the future
Some projects planned for the future include, adding heat so that the building can be used in the winter and to sponsor students to attend events.
Check out the fence at Todd's Hardware in Star Lake across from the Adirondack Exhibit Center to see the barn quilts painted by art students from Clifton Fine Central School.
