To reach "Janacks Landing" it will be a 4.2 mile hike,

over relatively easy   terrain from the village of"Wanakena" .

 

From the trailhead, you will follow the same route as you would for

"Cat Mountain". 

 

From the main intersection 4.0 miles in take a left to reach Janacks Landing. You will first come to and cross a long board walk and hike slightly uphill to the lean-to 0.2 miles away. This is a great place for a weekend getaway and with more trails in the area give ample opportunity for adventure, be sure to check out Cat Mountain.

 

Trailhead Location:

 

From the intersection of Route 3 and CR61 (Wanakena Road) follow here and stay straight on the main road to South Shore Road. Follow South Shore Road for around 0.75miles to the trailhead parking on the right.
